Part of my Reflection figurative series.
I am a chronic overthinker. This painting captures that all-too-familiar mental traffic jam—where one thought leads to another, then another, then a full-blown existential TED Talk... all inside your own head.
The figure sits in a classic overthinking pose: part philosopher, part deer-in-headlights. They’re not ignoring you—they’re just currently trapped in a debate with themselves about something they said in 2014.
Loose, scratchy lines and vibrant color swells mimic the way thoughts spiral out—messy, layered, and occasionally brilliant (but mostly just... a lot). The textures suggest a brain on overdrive, trying to file a million emotional tabs at once.
