Kitties

I created this special pair of kitties for a very special birthday boy. My toddler adores his cats—even if they don’t always return the same level of enthusiasm.

This piece was a bit of a departure for me and was painted for fun. I took inspiration from other artist's more illustrative styles I found online when painting the kitties. I wanted the background to feel wild and full of energy (keeping in line with my usual style of painting), allowing the texture to shine through behind the stylized cat illustrations

This birthday gift was a success, and my son LOVES "his kitties".
