My work as of late is inspired by my tiny human. His boundless energy, kindness, curiosity, and creativity, and his ability to melt my heart with his hugs and cuddles.
My son loves to play dress-up and walk around the house in our shoes. I tried to capture the fun he has in this piece. I tried to emphasize the playful nature of the piece using bold colours and a more mixed-media approach. I experimented with collage using handmade textured paper, which created the circular pattern you see in the top right corner of the canvas.
