A Love Letter in Design: Our Wedding Story
After nearly 12 years together, my partner and I tied the knot in 2019. As a Graphic Designer, I saw our wedding as more than just a celebration—it was an opportunity to create a fully branded event, a visual love letter that captured our story.
From the wedding website to the custom stationery and signage, every element was crafted with intention. I had always dreamed of letterpress invitations, but our budget didn’t quite stretch that far. Instead of compromising, I dove into the world of hand-printing. I bought an etching press, taught myself how to use it, and created our DIY letterpress-style stationery by hand.
We were married in a beautifully restored firehall turned venue and restaurant. I leaned into its vintage charm, designing every piece of decor to complement the space—from hand-painted gold leaf details on the invitations to custom wine labels and a bespoke welcome sign. Even the smallest touches mattered: I matched my blue suede shoes to the napkins and the bouquets I arranged myself.
Nearly seven years later, I still look back on that day—and all the design that went into it—with pride and joy.
